A life of struggle, a constant affair.
A lack of means, a scarcity of wealth,
A life of hardship, a constant stealth.
It robs one's dignity, and steals their pride,
It takes away hope, and all that's inside.
It's a cycle that's hard to break,
A struggle that's hard to shake.
But still, there's hope amidst the gloom,
A way out of this wretched doom.
With love and care, and a helping hand,
We can lift each other out of this land.
So let's work together, and fight this fight,
And bring an end to poverty's blight.
For in the end, we're all the same,
And poverty's defeat will bring us all gain.
